Here is a picture me with my Japanese teacher, Nakamura-san. For nearly eight months now, she has been coming to my house for weekly language lessons. We have shared lots of tea, English, and even some Japanese conversation! She patiently encourages me, and gently pushes me forward. I am not the greatest speaking student, but I have learned more than just Japanese language from her. We have discussions about cultural differences and history, we've chatted about our families and raising children, and had a few good laughs. It's been a very enjoyable experience having her as my teacher. She is training others to be teachers as well. A real expert!Now I need to go study the "te form" of my short list of verbs...
